Coronado is a peaceful small town set amongst mountains, forests, and dairy farms. As it is situated only 6 miles from the capital of San Jose, many urbanites escape for some rest and relaxation in Coronado. There are charming, rustic restaurants and an annual fiesta takes place on the 15th of May. Coronado has excellent hiking opportunities and is also close to the beautiful Braulio Carrillo National Park for nature lovers.
