Learn Spanish in Guanacaste

Guanacaste is a province in Costa Rica that encompasses the North Pacific section of the country. A geographically diverse province, Guanacaste is home to spectacular beaches, which offer visitors excellent surfing, snorkeling, and horseback riding. Also in Guanacaste are many volcanoes and forest areas, excellent for hiking and nature watching. There are many resorts in Guanacaste, making it seem less typically Costa Rican than the other provinces. Liberia is the largest city, home to the country’s 2nd international airport.
